MARS Projects

We encourage the use of projects for larger scale, serious usage and for collaborative research. To be eligible for a project, your research has to be lead and sponsored by an MVLS PI. Getting a project on MARS entitles you to the following:

• Shared project space, accessible throughout the cluster.
• Allocated resource according to your needs, specified in your request.
• Priority access to resources over non-project jobs.
• Detailed reporting of your platform usage.

The governance team, that consists of senior researchers, will review a request and once approved, a MARS Project number will be created and details will be communicated to the requestor. Please be aware that the whole process, if successful, can take up to 3 weeks.

To submit a request, please fill out a "Project Request" on Ivanti. Via the HPC Request form, choose "MARS" from in the cluster dropdown and then select "Project Request".

For your request, make sure all the needed members already have user accounts on MARS, if not please refer to Getting an Account.
